Echnoserve has received co-financing award from Innovation Against Poverty Grant funded by Government of Sweden and managed by SNV. The project allows dissemination of market data and weather agro-advisory services for 108,000 farmers in Amhara, Oromia and SNNPR.
The Farm Africa led consortium in Ethiopia is currently implements a project entitled “Market-Approaches to Resilience” under the DFID funded global “Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED)” program, financed by DFID. As part of the project weather data, ago advisory services and market information will be disseminated in Chifra, Hamer, Gode and Konsoworedas through Yezare.
As part of Africa RISING Project, this component will work on dissemination of localized weather data and market information for two of the project woredas: Basona Wereana woreda (Goshabado and Gudoberetkebeles) in Amhara Region and Lemoworeda (LayngawuGana and JeweKebeles) from SNNP Region. The project will reach approximately 5 thousand farmers.
